What’s old IS new again: that was the message when Shepley Bulfinch – one of the oldest architecture firms in the US – was cited as “Notable” in the 2008 Rebrand 100 Global Awards. ReBrand 100® recognizes the world’s most effective brand transformations: the repositioning, revitalizing and redesign of existing brand assets to meet strategic goals.
Shepley undertook its rebrand as part of a strategy to ensure the firm’s place in an increasingly competitive market by emphasizing a message of fresh, innovative design of lasting quality. Beginning with the firm’s move to new, open offices stripped of hierarchy, a clean, fresh design was introduced, including the firm’s name, website, marketing collateral, environmental graphics, and language, raising the firm’s graphic design to a quality that matched its architectural work.
In selecting winners, jurors gave strong consideration to the execution of strategies that met the targeted goals and ensured that all aspects of the organization embody the brand message.
