Interior Design names Shepley to Top 10 Healthcare Giants

For the third consecutive year, Interior Design magazine has ranked Shepley Bulfinch 10th nationwide in its survey of the country’s Healthcare Design Giants. The rankings and accompanying articles appear in the November 2010 issue of Interior Design. The ranking is based on 2009 interior design fees for healthcare projects.

The firm’s major healthcare clients in 2009 included Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale-New Haven Hospital; Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin (Milwaukee, WI); Sherman Hospital (Elgin, IL); Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary (Boston, MA); and Mass General/North Shore Center for Outpatient Care ...[more]

Interior Design ranks Shepley among top education designers

Harvard Business School, Hi BuildingShepley Bulfinch was ranked 39th among the country’s leading interior design firms, according to a survey just published in the January issue of Interior Design magazine. The magazine’s annual ranking of the “100 Interior Design Giants” is based on 2012 interior design fees for major architecture and design firms around the US.

Shepley ranked fifth among education design firms, making the survey’s Top 10 in education design for the fourth year in a row. Shepley’s 2012 major education interiors clients included Johns Hopkins, Princeton, Hamline University, and the University of Houston.

Shepley in the spotlight among top US design firms

“We’re #27.” OK, it may not trip off the tongue, but it sounds pretty good to us.

Shepley moved up the ranks of the country’s “Design Giants” in the results of a national survey just released by Building Design + Construction magazine. With an overall ranking at #27 in the annual survey, the firm came in 26th among university design firms and 48th among healthcare design firms. The magazine gives a shout-out to Marquette Law School with a photograph of the school’s Zilber Forum as the survey’s featured higher education project.

Shepley ranks among country’s top design firms

Shepley Bulfinch has maintained its strong ranking among top architecture firms in the US, in the results of the Giants 300 survey published in Building Design + Construction magazine this month. The firm was ranked 29th overall, and 29th and 54th respectively in education and healthcare design. The survey also gave a nod to Shepley’s environmental commitment, ranking the firm among the country’s top 100 green design firms for the third consecutive year.

Shepley Bulfinch has moved up ten places to rank 39th among the nation’s leading interior design firms, according to Interior Design magazine in its “100 Giants” annual survey, published this month. The survey is based on 2009 interior design fees for major interior design firms from around the US.

In a break-out by key sectors, Shepley also ranks 6th among education design firms. The firm’s 2009 university clients include Duke, Johns Hopkins, George Mason, Atlanta University Center, Illinois Wesleyan, and the University of New Mexico. In 2009 the firm also completed ...[more]

High marks for Shepley from Building Design & Construction

The July 2008 “Giants 300″ issue of Building Design and Construction magazine ranks Shepley Bulfinch Richardson and Abbott 23rd in the Top 50 Design Firms. The survey places the firm at #29 for both healthcare and university design, and among the top 100 in the number of LEED Accredited Professionals (APs).

Work completed by the firm in 2007 included projects for the Lahey Clinic, University of Michigan Health Systems, Amherst and Bates Colleges, the University of Maine, Colgate University, the Emma Willard School, Johns Hopkins University, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and Concord Hospital.

Scott SlarskyShepley Bulfinch is pleased to welcome seminal design leader Scott Slarsky, who has joined the firm as a director.

In announcing the appointment, president Carole Wedge said, “Scott is an exciting new design voice for Shepley Bulfinch, with passion, vision, and a deep understanding of how design can provide clarity of purpose and mission during times of institutional growth and change.”
