Clearly good things come in pairs!
Shepley Bulfinch principals Joe Herzog and Chris Nieto have been selected as two of ENR Southwest’s 20 Under 40 Leaders for 2011. Of the 20 individuals honored this year in the Southwest, they are the only two from the same company. Chris and Joe lead Shepley Bulfinch’s Phoenix office.
Selected by a jury of industry experts, the 2011 awards showcase 20 young leaders who have helped shape the region’s design and construction industry.

Courtney (Stern) Janes, an interior designer with Shepley Bulfinch, is profiled in the latest issue of Suffolk University’s alumni magazine.

Architectural Record and Engineering News-Record magazines once again ranked Shepley Bulfinch among the top architecture and green design firms in the US in their latest annual surveys published in the two magazines this week. The rankings are based on revenues in 2009, a challenging year for the industry.
Architectural Record put Shepley at #79 among A/E/C firms based on total architectural revenue in its survey of the country’s 250 leading design firms.

Shepley Bulfinch was “three for three” in surveys that appeared in Architectural Record and Engineering News-Record (ENR) magazines this week for top design and green design firms, and top firms in the US, based on firms’ 2008 revenues.
Architectural Record put Shepley at #89 in its survey of the 250 leading design firms in the US, while ENR’s survey of the 500 top firms, which placed Shepley at #338 (2008 rank: #359) included all responding firms’ architecture, engineering, and construction revenues.

Shepley Bulfinch was ranked #338 in the 2009 Engineering News-Record (ENR) survey of the Top 500 design firms, up from #360 in 2008.
This annual issue published by ENR Magazine ranks the 500 largest US-based engineering, architectural and environmental design firms by revenue. Firms are ranked according to the revenues generated for design work performed in 2006.
Shepley Bulfinch regularly appears in the ENR Top 500 annual rankings.

NEW YORK, NY – Engineering News-Record (ENR) Magazine released its first Top Green Design Firms list, ranking Shepley Bulfinch at #59. The rankings are based on design firms’ 2007 revenues from projects that were registered and are actively seeking certification from the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and other major third-party environmental standards organizations.
The firm’s portfolio includes a wide range of sustainable projects, including those receiving LEED certification. The Duke Library at Furman University received LEED Gold certification earlier this year, and the firm’s renovation of Gallatin Hall at Harvard Business School, scheduled to be completed later this summer, is on track for LEED Gold certification.
